What is Chunite and why should I sign up?
Chunite is an online chat community, that features chat rooms, one to one chat, profiles, blogs, forums and a rate my picture section. Why should you sign up? Read on!
Why do I need to use a genuine email address?
We require you to use a genuine email address so we can validate your account. We validate accounts to keep spammers and timewasters to a minimum. At Chunite we believe in a strong antispam policy and will NOT pass your email address on to a third party without your express permission, with the exception of law enforcement agencies that provide us with strong evidence that you have been using the service for illegal activities. This may include credit card fraud agencies.
Is Chunite free?
Chunite is 100% free to use. We do have optional paid membership packages, but these packages give extras (e.g. Gold Members have exclusive access to certain chat rooms) and are not necessary to use Chunite. Basic members still have full access to all the features listed below!

Chat Rooms
Chunite has several online chat rooms, that are completely free to use. These chat rooms are moderated to keep abuse to a minimum.
One to One Chat
Chunite has a built in instant messenging system to enable you to have a private one to one online chat with another chuniter. This is a perfect way to get to know someone before divulging more personal information, such as your MSN instant messenger address.
Chat Forum
Chunite has a thriving forum, so if you don't have time to engage in a lengthy online chat you can just post a quick message on the chat forum and come and check the replies later. Like the chat rooms, the forums are moderated.
User Profiles
Every chuniter has their own profile, including you! How much extra information you want to divulge on your profile is completley your choice, but you must fill in the basic profile template to enable you to use the Chunite service. We do this to keep spammers and timewasters to a minimum and by doing so improve the experience for our members.
We do recommend you upload a picture to your profile though, our studies have shown that you are far more likely to attract interest if you do!
You'll get a unique profile web address that you can show to your friends and family. They don't even have to be Chunite members to view it!
BLOGs
Want to tell the world about your day? Or is there information about yourself that you don't think is suitable for your chat Profile? Then write a blog! You can make one entry per day and other Chuniters can leave comments about it!
Member Directory
The member directory is the database of all our members. You can search the member directory, using various criteria, to find your "perfect" online chat partner.
Built in Email System
If you find someone in the chat rooms, or using the member directory, that intrigues you then you can send them an internal email. This is another great system that you can use to get to know someone until you feel confident enough to give out your external email address to them.
Rate My Picture!
Chunite has a rate my picture section where you can upload a photo of yourself and get it rated. If you get enough votes you'll end up on the Chunite leader board and if you score well you may even make it to the top ten! It's not just photos of yourself that you can get rated either. You can also get your pet rated!
Your rate me pictures also appear on your chat profile so you can send the profile address to your friends and get your pictures rated, even if they aren't users of the Chunite service!
